CURSO
In-person
Child Protection Counselors, both regular and alternate members.
The recognition of the Human Rights of children and adolescents as outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988 has created a new landscape for public policies aimed at this population. In this process, Child Protection Councils were established as a permanent, autonomous, and non-judicial body responsible for ensuring the rights of children and adolescents are upheld. Therefore, Child Protection Councils must engage in continuous training not only to acquire new knowledge but also to evaluate ongoing procedures and critically reflect on their political role. Thus, this course aims to provide Child Protection Counselors with a comprehensive understanding of the daily work of the Child Protection Council, addressing both theoretical and practical issues.
To train Child Protection Counselors and the support network by understanding the foundations, procedures, and legal responsibilities related to the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents within the system of rights guarantees, aiming to prepare them for the exercise of their function.
