Target Audience

The course is aimed at Nutritionists who work or wish to work in the clinical and eating behavior fields; Nutrition students interested in deepening their knowledge about eating disorders; health professionals, Residents, and postgraduates in Nutrition, Mental Health, and related areas.

Justification

The course Nutritional Aspects of Eating Disorders seeks to provide updated knowledge based on scientific evidence about the main eating disorders, their clinical characteristics, diagnostic criteria, and nutritional approaches, contributing to professional qualification and improving the care provided to individuals affected by these conditions.

General Objective

This course aims to equip participants to understand eating disorders, their nutritional and clinical aspects.

Specific Objectives

  • Understand the historical, epidemiological, and clinical aspects related to eating disorders.
  • Know the eating disorders.

Curriculum

[content-dropdown] In the "Eating Disorders" Module, participants will be introduced to general concepts about eating disorders, including historical aspects, epidemiology, and the importance of early recognition of these conditions [/content-dropdown]

[title-dropdown] Module 2 - Anorexia Nervosa [/title-dropdown]

[content-dropdown] In the "Anorexia Nervosa" Module, the diagnostic criteria, main clinical characteristics, and pathophysiology will be presented, along with the challenges in management [/content-dropdown]

[title-dropdown] Module 3 - Bulimia Nervosa [/title-dropdown]

[content-dropdown] In the "Bulimia Nervosa" Module, the diagnostic criteria, main clinical characteristics, and pathophysiology will be presented, along with the challenges in management [/content-dropdown]

[title-dropdown] Module 4 - Binge Eating Disorder [/title-dropdown]

[content-dropdown] In the "Binge Eating Disorder" Module, participants will be presented with the diagnostic criteria, main clinical characteristics, and pathophysiology, as well as the challenges [/content-dropdown]
