Target Audience

The course is intended for dentists who are duly registered with the Regional Council of Dentistry (CRO).

Justification

The Minor Oral Surgery course equips dentists to perform outpatient procedures safely and accurately, such as tooth extractions, biopsies, and lesion removals. Enhance your clinical skills and expand your practice by providing more comprehensive and qualified care to your patients.

General Objective

To improve dentists' skills in the area of minor oral surgery.

Specific Objectives

  • To train dentists to plan and execute surgeries with safety, speed, and skill.
  • Emphasis on practices involving impacted teeth, periapical surgeries, pre-prosthetic procedures, and treatment of oral cavity lesions, as well as concepts of facial trauma, bone grafts, and implants.

Prof. Dr. Luiz Gustavo Teixeira Martins

Graduated in Dentistry from UFSC, with postgraduate degrees in Minor Oral Surgery, Advanced Implantology Surgery, and Periodontal and Peri-implant Plastic Surgery. He completed a Multidisciplinary Residency in Family Health, holds a Master's and Doctorate in Health Sciences from Unesc, and a Sandwich Doctorate at University College of London - UCL. He is a Professor in the Dentistry undergraduate program at Unesc. Specialist in implantology and oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has a specialization in orofacial harmonization.

Prof. Esp. Muriel Becker Sturmer

Holds a degree in Dentistry and a postgraduate degree in Minor Oral Surgery from Unesc. He is a professor in the dental hygiene technical course at Unesc and a postgraduate professor in the Minor Oral Surgery course.

Dentist graduated from Unesc. Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology at UFSC.

Prof. Me Eron Baroni

Holds a degree in Dentistry from UFPEL, with a specialization and Master's in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology from UFPEL. Currently, he is a surgeon at Hospital São José, a full professor at Unisul, and a member of the medical staff at São João Batista and Unimed Hospitals in Criciúma.
