CURSO
In-person
This extension course on Physical Examination is aimed at professionals and students in the health field.
The physical examination is a valuable tool for healthcare assistance, as it allows health professionals to validate the findings from the medical history, identify problems, establish diagnoses for care, plan and implement independent, interdependent, and dependent professional actions, and monitor the patient's progress.
In times of abundant technology available in the health field, some people forget the importance of the clinical examination for diagnosing and treating diseases. The clinical examination is divided into two stages: the medical history and the physical examination. From these, it is possible to obtain information about the patient's overall health status, identifying diseases through signs and symptoms. A sign is a physical characteristic that can be detected by the doctor, such as a skin lesion resulting from a fungal infection. A symptom, on the other hand, is a subjective characteristic reported by the patient, such as dizziness.
To equip health professionals to perform physical examinations.
