Student Movement

Giving voice to students. This is the purpose of student movements within our University.

Participation in the student movement is voluntary and is often motivated by the desire to express opinions, change strategies, demand improvements, or simply by the need to engage in discussions with the academic community, thereby learning from the dialogues that take place in these spaces.

PROTAGONISM THAT GENERATES LEADERS

► Student Central Directory (DCE)

The Student Central Directory (DCE) is the entity that represents all students at our University.

A board is elected to represent and defend the interests of students before the Unesc administration, participating in its councils, and before society, acting in municipal councils. The election for choosing members is annual and direct: all students vote. The term always begins on December 1st and runs until December 1st of the following year.

The DCE also promotes cultural activities, welcomes new students, maintains relationships with other representative entities, such as the National Union of Students (UNE) and the Santa Catarina Union of Students (UCE).

► Academic Centers (CAs) and Academic Directories (DAs)

Each course at the University can have an Academic Center (CA) or Academic Directory (DA) to represent the students in that field.

The students themselves form the entity, which has direct elections, like the DCE. The CAs and DAs play an important role in proposing improvements for their course, bringing demands to the department, the DCE, or even to the Rectory.

► Athletic Associations

Athletic associations are sports organizations formed by course or university that bring together students and, in some cases, alumni.

These associations organize internal sports championships, select teams from various sports to compete in university games within the university, among institutions, and in municipal, state, and national university competitions.

► Junior Company

It is a non-profit civil association with educational purposes created by undergraduate students and linked to their course. The management of junior companies is carried out by the students themselves, and the goal is to provide the best market experience for graduates at the institution.
