On the morning of last Saturday (12/10), students from the Medicine and Dentistry programs at Unesc participated in the Caring for Those Who Shape the Future initiative, providing health services to children in the Renascer neighborhood in Criciúma.
The event served over 100 children and took place at the Municipal Elementary School Professor Clotildes Maria Martins Lalau, featuring eye examinations conducted by Medicine students and dental evaluations carried out by Dentistry students.
In addition to the health services, the program included recreational activities, distribution of toys, and treats for the children in the community.
The initiative was organized by the Academic League of Pediatrics, in partnership with the Extension, Culture and Community Actions Directorate and the Medicine program at Unesc, with support from the NGO Solidarize.
