Unesc will host part of the 13th State Festival Nossa Arte, which will take place from Monday to Thursday (October 19 to 22) in Criciúma. The University will be one of the venues for the activities, featuring artistic workshops and a cultural tour of the Museum of Childhood. Organized by the Federation of Apaes of Santa Catarina (Feapaes-SC), the event will bring together approximately one thousand artists from different regions of the state in a program dedicated to art, culture, and the inclusion of people with intellectual and multiple disabilities.
Throughout the four days, Unesc will be the stage for activities in music, visual arts, dance, and theater, led by professionals in the field. The program also includes a guided visit to the Museum of Childhood, providing participants with an experience of engagement with the collection and the cultural and educational possibilities of the space.
On Monday (October 19), from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, a music workshop will be held in the University’s Music Room, located in Block Z, with Professor Ivani Kamke Schlemper.
On Tuesday (October 20), from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the Ceramics Workshop, located in Room 5 of Block Z, will host a visual arts workshop with Professor Leandro Jungle. At 3:00 PM, a street art activity will take place.

Art, expression, and inclusion
In addition to the activities held at Unesc, the festival will primarily take place at AM Master Hall and will feature artistic performances, workshops, exhibitions, competitive and participatory showcases, cultural activities, and a Creative Economy Fair.
According to the state coordinator of Art and Culture at Feapaes-SC, Deridiel Anastácio, the festival represents an opportunity to showcase the talents and potential of the participants.
"The festival represents an important movement for inclusion and appreciation of people through art. Each performance, exhibition, workshop, and showcase contributes to highlighting the talents of the participants and demonstrating that art is a powerful tool for expression, participation, and transformation," he emphasized.
Among the highlights is the Art Gallery, which will feature over 50 visual art pieces created by artists from different regions of Santa Catarina. The literary program will also have a space, with the free distribution of two thousand books produced and signed by the authors themselves.
The Creative Economy Fair will be present throughout the four days, allowing artists to present and sell works produced by the organizations. "This moment strengthens creativity, entrepreneurship, and the generation of opportunities through art," Anastácio stressed.
The program will also include performances of dance, music, and theater, cultural manifestations, integration activities, and cultural tours. The closing will feature a performance by the Dance Group Art that Includes, from Apae de Criciúma, followed by the announcement of the results and the festival awards.
