The Unesc Christmas Choir, composed of university staff, held its second rehearsal this Wednesday (10/21) in Block Z. The meetings began on October 7 and aim to prepare the group for the Christmas performance scheduled for December 22.
This initiative is promoted by the Unesc Style of Well-Being and Coexistence and the Extension Directorate, and all staff members who wish to sing are welcome to participate.
This Wednesday, the rehearsal started with warm-up exercises and vocal cord preparation. "We have a group of staff members who want to sing but may not necessarily have experience. They are learning to produce sound with more delicacy so we can form the choir in two months. The performance will feature three songs," explains the conductor of the Unesc Choir, Dyane Rosa.
As Wednesdays are also part of the Pink October campaign at the university, participants are also involved in the action "On Wednesdays, we wear pink." The campaign invites staff to wear pink every Wednesday in October and to tag Unesc on social media at the profile @unescoficial.
