Unesc presents ideas and trends at the CasaPronta Fair

How do changes in people's behavior influence architecture? What makes a house more comfortable? How can we create accessible and functional spaces? Questions like these will be addressed during Unesc's participation in the 23rd CasaPronta Fair, from October 14 to 18, at the José Ijair Conti Exhibition Pavilion in Criciúma.

Highlights include furnished and decorated houses within the pavilion, featuring different construction systems, as well as real estate launches and innovations in materials, technology, and decoration. Throughout the five days, the public will have the opportunity to explore products, engage with companies and professionals, and compare solutions for various projects and living styles.

In this context, Unesc will participate with professors, researchers, and professionals from different fields, bringing discussions about trends and challenges related to civil construction and the spaces where people live, work, and move. Design, Architecture and Urbanism, Civil Engineering, materials research, and innovation are among the represented fields.

The debates and interviews that will be broadcast on radio stations will cover topics ranging from changes in residential projects to commercial architecture, environmental comfort, accessibility, and the occupation of urban spaces. Criciúma will also be at the center of discussions about urbanism and the city's transformations.

"Architecture, design, and civil construction are part of people's daily lives. They are present in homes, workplaces, public spaces, and in the way people relate to the city. Unesc's participation in CasaPronta allows us to bring the knowledge produced at the University closer to the real needs of the population and the changes occurring in the market," emphasizes the acting rector, Gisele Silveira Coelho Lopes.

From the house to the city

Discussions about residential architecture will consider the new needs of those seeking a property, project trends, comfort, and the personalization of environments. The program will also address how commercial spaces communicate brand identity and influence consumer experience.

Another topic will be architectural accessibility, focusing on assistive technologies and the importance of environments that can be used by everyone. Conversations about urbanism will address the occupation of spaces and the challenges faced by Criciúma.

Participation involves courses and structures from the University, such as Design, Architecture and Urbanism, Civil Engineering, Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (PPGCEM), Scientific and Technological Park (Iparque), Center for Environmental Research and Studies (Cpea), Institute of Environmental and Technological Research (Ipat), Institute of Food (Iali), and Institute of Engineering and Technology (IDT).

Interviews during the fair

Rádio Unesc and TV Unesc will also have a space in the program, with interviews conducted throughout the five days. Guests will share professional experiences and discuss changes in architecture, the real estate market, and the creation of more comfortable, functional, and accessible environments.
