The Graduate Program in Law (PPGD) at Unesc held the third edition of the International Meeting - Law and Development Research Network. Conducted virtually on October 15, the symposium was organized by the research group International Law, Sustainability, and Efficiency (Dise) in partnership with the University of Macau.
The initiative received institutional support from the undergraduate Law program at Unesc and from higher education institutions in Mozambique, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Macau-China.
The series of debates focused on contemporary discussions regarding the legal framework applied to the geopolitics of development and technical and economic cooperation among developing nations. The consolidation of the international academic network enhances Unesc's academic output on the international stage, establishing fixed channels of dialogue with researchers.
"The event was very enriching, with an intense exchange of experiences in English and Portuguese with various accents. With the theme 'Law and Development in the Global South', we featured contributions from four continents and eight nationalities. With each new edition, the internationalization of PPGD's research becomes even stronger," said the event's general coordinator, Yduan de Oliveira May.
During the closing of the symposium activities, the coordination officially launched the international scientific collection Law and Development Research Network, studies v.2.
"The work compiles the complete collection of articles and essays evaluated in the previous edition of the event, serving as an essential bibliographic basis for future investigations on governance and sustainability," Yduan reported.
The digital book is available for public access and free download on the official archive page of the university's research group. Those interested in checking the technical material and previous editions can consult the files directly in the public folder of LDRN Books on Google Drive.
