Architecture and Urbanism Academic Week discusses the future of cities and market challenges

Students from the Architecture and Urbanism program at Unesc participated in a technical and scientific immersion from September 28 to October 1 during the Academic Week of the field. Organized by the Academic Center at the program's studio, the series of debates brought together faculty and professionals from the national market to discuss housing transformations and corporate routines in the profession.

The event's opening addressed executive planning and sustainable construction methodologies. Architects Carolina Araujo and Cristina Cardoso presented the theme "Designing is just the beginning: the practice behind interior architecture," detailing project management in the interior design sector.

On the same day, civil engineer Maiko Arcaro presented "Industrialized concrete constructions: sustainable solutions for buildings," demonstrating the ecological potential of industrialized concrete structures.

The technological cycle continued with lectures focused on coatings and commercial projects. Engineers Lara Oliveira and Wagner Souza demonstrated ventilated facade systems, followed by Professor Fernando Carvalho da Rosa, who highlighted the relevance of design as a strategic element in corporate branding.

During the third day of programming, land surveyor José Arilton discussed sustainable land management in vulnerable spaces, paving the way for engineers Hugo Ceará and Paulo Veloso to correlate the geometry of public roads with the psychosocial habits of communities.

The conclusion of the academic circuit brought discussions about the limits of self-demand and the preservation of psychological well-being in the university environment. Psychologists Igor Debiasi and Beatriz Espindola led the roundtable "Between projects and deadlines: mental health in the architecture program," wrapping up the community integration agenda of the program.
