Professor of the Graduate Program in Public Health (PPGSCol) at Unesc, Lisiane Tuon participated from Tuesday to Wednesday (October 6 to 7) in Salvador (BA) in activities linked to the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Ministry of Health (MS). The meetings focused on the evaluation and strengthening of Residency Programs in Professional Health Areas in Brazil.
The faculty member, who also coordinates the Multiprofessional Residency Commission (Coremu) at Unesc, visited on the 6th the Martagão Gesteira Hospital, a philanthropic institution recognized for pediatric care, where she evaluated the residencies in Child and Adolescent Health and Oncology Nursing.
"The initiative aims to contribute to the construction of competency frameworks that guide the training of resident professionals, linking knowledge, skills, and attitudes to public health policies and the needs of the Brazilian population," says Lisiane.
According to the professor, the procedure integrates federal regulatory protocols to ensure the quality of education and its alignment with the needs of the Unified Health System (SUS). In addition to the evaluations, on the 7th, she participated in technical activities for the structuring and systematization of competencies of the residency programs within the ministries.
Lisiane is part of the national technical team that works in seven strategic health areas: Obstetric Nursing, Child Health, Neonatal Health, Mental Health, Urgency and Emergency, Intensive Care, and Rehabilitation.
"Participation in these national initiatives brings our academic and regional experience closer to the processes of building and improving health education policies," she emphasized.
