The Self-Assessment Commission (CPA) of Unesc participated last Monday (September 28) in discussions for the construction of the State Education Plan (PEE) of Santa Catarina, contributing to the debates related to the objectives and goals for higher education in the state.
The University was represented in Working Group 5 (GT 5) – Higher Education by the coordinator of the CPA and the Evaluation Sector, Thiago Francisco, and Anne Marie Scoss, an institutional researcher at Unesc. Thiago served as the moderator of the session, leading the debate among participants, while Anne Marie acted as the rapporteur for the discussions.
"Discussing the objectives and goals of higher education means collectively thinking about what kind of education we want to build for Santa Catarina. The University needs to be present in these spaces, contributing with its experience, but also listening to the different stakeholders involved in this process," reports Professor Thiago.
Participation is also aligned with the social insertion perspective of the Graduate Program in Socioeconomic Development (PPGDS) at Unesc, bringing researchers closer to spaces where public policies directly related to regional development are debated.
"The rapporteurship allows us to transform the richness of the discussions into concrete contributions for the Plan. It is a process of listening, recording, and synthesizing that seeks to preserve the different perspectives while also identifying the points of convergence built by the group," emphasizes Anne Marie.
