The Documentation Center (Cedoc) at Unesc is launching another campaign to collect old media and electronic equipment. The main goal of this initiative is to gather functioning video cassette recorders (VHS).
In addition to seeking video players, the campaign continues to accept VHS and K7 tapes, analog players, tape radios, and other old electronic media.
"We also welcome donations of photographs, objects, and historical documents related to coal mining activities in the Southern Region, materials that will enrich the future educational actions of the University," emphasizes Cedoc historian, Liziane Acordi.
Donations can be delivered directly to Cedoc, located in the Administrative Block of Unesc, room 5, from Monday to Friday, from 1 PM to 10 PM.
"These devices are essential for continuing the preservation and conversion projects of historical collections maintained by the Institution. Many idle pieces of equipment can make a difference in preserving the documentary heritage of the region," adds the historian.
More information can be obtained by email: cedoc@unesc.net or by phone at (48) 3431-2740.
