Street Art brings performances from the 13th Nossa Arte Festival to the Administrative Block

The hall of the Administrative Block was the stage this Tuesday (10/20) for one of the events of the 13th State Festival Nossa Arte: the Arte de Rua, a category that takes performances beyond traditional stages and brings artists closer to the community. The Associations of Parents and Friends of Exceptional Individuals (Apaes) from Lages, Otacílio Costa, Morro da Fumaça, Ituporanga, and Chapecó performed with dance numbers.

The festival began this Monday (10/19) and will run until Thursday (10/22) at AM Master Hall in Criciúma, bringing together artists with intellectual and multiple disabilities from across the state. In addition to competitive showcases of theater, dance, and music, the program includes visual and literary arts exhibitions, a Creative Fair, and a short film showcase.

"Our focus is to showcase the art and culture of the Apaes to the entire municipality and to Santa Catarina. The Arte de Rua has precisely this purpose: to take art beyond traditional stages, occupy the city's spaces, and bring artists closer to the community," emphasized the state coordinator of Art and Culture, Héctor Anael Dornelles.

The partnership was celebrated by the Art and Culture Sector of the University. Professor Luiz Gustavo Bieberbach Engroff, coordinator of Visual Arts and Performing Arts, highlighted the significance of the meeting.

"Unesc welcomes them with open arms. We are eager to see the artists, both in theater and in other forms. May there be many more events like this, because together we can build something more comprehensive," he said.

Musician Jaqueline Medeiros, a member of the Art and Culture Sector, also highlighted the history of the partnership with the Apaes. "We are very happy with this partnership. Several workshops have already taken place here at Unesc, and we also had performances at the Santa Bárbara Hall. We will always be available for other festivals and more partnerships like this," she stated.
