// ABOUT THE COMPETITION
RACING ENGINEERING IN THE CLASSROOM
The Science of Speed stimulates interest in STEM in High School through a competition of mini-cars powered by compressed air. Each team receives a kit (chassis and wheels) and designs their own body, applying aerodynamics, physics, chemistry, design, and engineering to win the track.
It's not just about racing: the team documents the project, justifies technical decisions, and defends the engineering behind every millisecond. The fastest car is rarely the most beautiful; it is the most well-thought-out.

// THE 5 STEM PILLARS
EVERY MILLISECOND IS SCIENCE
Every track decision falls under one of these areas.
Mastering all of them is what separates the podium from the grid.
01
Body shape, airflow, and drag reduction.
02
Mass, inertia, friction, and the acceleration curve.
03
Expansion of compressed gas and the thrust generated.
04
Team identity, ergonomics, and finishing touches.
05
Integration, testing, and optimization of the assembly.
// HOW IT WORKS
THE COMPETITION
Student teams, guided by professors, develop cars powered by pneumatic propulsion. Kits with parts for chassis and wheels are provided, while the aerodynamic design is the responsibility of the teams.

SIMULATE. ADJUST. ACCELERATE.
Tweak the parameters and see the race time change live. It's the "science of speed" before hitting the track, a preview of the tool that teams will use to prepare their cars.
